Barry Maxon, CEO and President
Barry Maxon brings over 20 years software and consulting management experience to his role as CEO and President of SafetyChain. Barry inspires innovation while ensuring accountability and customer success. Before his role as CEO and President, Barry led SafetyChain’s sales and consulting team facilitating the fast-growth and adoption of SafetyChain’s technologies in the marketplace. Prior to SafetyChain, Barry was an integral member of the executive team at Enwisen Software where he helped the company become a market-leader. He was a management consultant at A.T. Kearney helping companies optimize their operations and served as an officer in the US Navy.
Walter Smith, Executive Director
Recognizing the growing global concern around the safety and quality of consumable goods, Walter “Wally” Smith founded SafetyChain Software to fill critical gaps in the enforcement of food safety and quality standards. Wally has an extensive history of turning start-up Software-as-a-Service ventures into industry leaders bringing strong value to customers and strong returns to investors. Wally’s past ventures have included Enwisen, which he led to become the recognized leader of SaaS-based HR Service Delivery solutions, CEO of AOS and Advanced Analog as well as other successful technology innovators.
Daniel Bernkopf, Vice President Food Safety and Quality Assurance Applications
With over 30+ years food industry experience, Dan Bernkopf helps guide SafetyChain’s value across the organization from product development to customer delivery, sales and marketing initiatives. Having held food safety and quality management roles at leading food producers and manufacturers around the US, including a division of Tyson Foods, Farmington Foods and Marel, Dan’s areas of expertise include SQF certification, HACCP certification, 3rd party audit preparedness and lean manufacturing principles.
Roger Woehl, Chief Technical Officer
As CTO of SafetyChain, Roger Woehl is focused on managing the growth of SafetyChain’s solution offerings ensuring best-in-class technology architecture and practices are deployed to meet the growing demands of the food industry and customers alike. Woehl has over 20 years’ experience developing innovative B2B SaaS solutions. Past roles include VP of HR, Talent Management and Enterprise portal solutions at Infor and CTO at Enwisen, the HR industry’s leading SaaS portal solution serving Fortune 500 companies. Roger has a BS in Mechanical Engineering and 10 patents including software and aerospace electrical interconnect design.
Clara Gavriliuc, Ph.D., Vice President Data Analytics
As VP Data Analytics, Clara Gavriliuc brings over 20 years’ experience in software development, architectural design and business intelligence to her role at SafetyChain where she is focused on helping customers better monitor their FSQA operations, KPIs and bottom line. Clara has a proven track record of enhancing productivity and profitability for corporations such as Ameritech, ComEd and Sears Roebuck & Co. Prior to joining SafetyChain, Clara was the Director of Engineering at Vigilistics, Inc., which was acquired by SafetyChain. Clara has also held executive roles at Macrosoft Corporation, WebTrends, Kronos and Sage and holds a Bachelor in Mathematics, Computer Science, a Master’s degree in Business Administration and a Ph.D. in Computer Science.
Jim Wilmott, Vice President Operations
Jim Wilmott brings a wealth of experience to SafetyChain with over 22 years working in a variety of disciplines including operations, client services, software and internet companies. Jim has spent significant time studying customer satisfaction and continuous improvement – from Total Quality Management and Six Sigma to instituting a Net Promoter Score (NPS) program. Before joining SafetyChain, Jim was the SVP of Operations for One Legal Corporation where he oversaw all aspects of operations including customer support, training and development. Jim has also held management roles at Broderbund Software and GlobalEnglish and is a Colonel in the Marine Corps, with over 27 years in active and reserve duty.
Dave Detweiler, Vice President Sales
With over 15 years’ experience in software sales and consulting, Dave Detweiler has been an integral part of SafetyChain Software’s fast growth in the marketplace. Chartered with leading the sales and solutions consulting team as Vice President of Sales, Dave helps his team translate the value and return customers can achieve by deploying SafetyChain’s food safety and quality solutions. Prior to joining SafetyChain, Dave held sales and consulting positions at Enwisen Software (now an Infor company), Ceridian and MCI/Worldcom. Dave holds a Bachelor of Science degree from West Chester University.
Brian Sharp, Vice President Marketing
Brian has 20+ years of experience as a marketing professional building B2B and B2C companies in variety of industries including SaaS, retail, and financial services, applying an innovative, passionate, and resourceful approach to growing revenue and building value. Brian is focused on driving pipeline growth for our sales executives and partners, leading marketing strategy and brand management, and managing media relations. Prior to joining SafetyChain, Brian was President and CMO at HRsoft, a leading provider of HR SaaS solutions, where he also served as Secretary on the Board of Directors. Brian also held executive roles at Momentum Labs and PresenterBox, a SaaS technology start-up that he founded.
